The Portuguese textile industry combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing expertise, allowing us to develop a wide range of materials and product categories in close collaboration with our partners. This network of specialized manufacturers provides us with a high level of flexibility and supports our commitment to combining quality, longevity, and responsible production processes.
In Portugal, we produce our woven collection as well as jersey and denim pieces. Additionally, selected leather goods, including shoes and bags, are crafted here. Our close collaboration with long-standing partners and the extensive textile expertise on site enable us to bring sophisticated designs to life with the highest level of care and quality.
The development of our first denim pieces was the result of an intensive process and a careful selection of the right production partner. Together with our long-standing manufacturer, we refined every detail with great attention to ensure our high standards of quality were met. Alongside our classic Jean style, our denim collection now includes additional silhouettes such as shorts and dresses.
For our denim, we use, among other materials, recycled cotton. The production and washing processes are carried out entirely in Portugal, where years of experience and skilled craftsmanship enable high-quality manufacturing. From branded trims and our signature AK stitching to the leather patch – every detail reflects our brand identity and our commitment to quality.
Especially within our woven collections, a wide range of components such as buttons, trims, and different fabric qualities are used. The majority of our fabrics are sourced from European countries such as Spain, Greece, and Lithuania, where we, for example, source linen qualities for our summer collections.
The leather used for our shoes and bags originates from Spain and is subsequently tanned and further processed in Portugal. Our leather suppliers are certified by the Leather Working Group with the Gold Standard, which represents high standards in environmental management and responsible leather production.
